Sunday May. 5th BEALE PARK FESTIVAL OF MODEL BOATING
We have been invited this year to attend the Beale Park Festival of Model Boating.
We plan to set up and camp on Sat. 4th May if not then early Sunday morning. We
have ten free tickets for the event so if you plan to attend please contact Graham.
Thursday May. 9th CLUB NIGHT 'Photo Session'
Dave Abbott will be present 'Fully Loaded' with his camera gear to take photos
of members models. The object of the excercise is to keep the website gallery
up to date with recent additions to the fleet. Please bring along any model you
wish to be included.
Saturday May. 11th WORKING PARTY Wardown Park
A working party is planned at the Lake from 10am till Noon.
Sunday May. 12th THEMED SAILING DAY (TUGS)
This day will be one of our Themed Sailing days where the theme of the day will be
TUGS.
Sunday May. 19th STEVENAGE SCALE FUN DAY
We have been invited to attend the Stevenage Model Boat Club ‘Fun Day’.
We plan to be there from 10:30am until about 3pm.

Sat-Sun May. 25th-26th MAYHEM WEEKEND
We have been invited again this year to attend the Mayhem Model Boat Rally at
Wicksteed Park. The Club will be having a display section at the Rally and a
number of members plan to set up camp for the weekend. All members are invited
to bring a boat and sail. Camping is £20. Please contact Pete Carmen for details.
Sat-Sun Jun 1st-2nd ALFOLD CHARITY MODEL BOAT SHOW
The Charity Model Boat Show is held at the Springbok Estate, Alfold Surrey,
GU6 8EX. On site camping is available at £8.00 per unit per night, plus there
is limited on site B&B.
There will be sailing on both days and on Sunday trophies are awarded to a wide
class of entries. Trade stands will be present, plus there will also be a refreshment
tent, bring & buy etc.
On Saturday evening there is a BBQ at £8.00 per person for a main and dessert
course. A licensed bar is available throughout the weekend.
This is a fund raising event fo the Merchant Seamen's War Memorial Society
(Care Ashore) and well worth a visit.
